Osceola County Commission on Aging to host annual golf outing fundraiser June 10

Registration for golf teams and sponsorships is currently being accepted.

OSCEOLA COUNTY — The Osceola County Commission on Aging will host its annual Golf Outing fundraiser on June 10, 2026, to support services for local seniors. The event will be held at the Spring Valley Golf Course at 18396 U.S. 10 in Hersey.

The fundraiser generates revenue for donation-based programs available to residents ages 60 and over. These funds support services designed to help seniors age at home with independence, including home-delivered meals, transportation and home health aides.

The day-long event features several competitions and prizes, including a putting contest, door prizes and a silent auction. Baker Auto Group is sponsoring a hole-in-one contest where participants have the chance to win a 2026 Trailblazer.

Justin Halladay, director of the Osceola County Commission on Aging, said the outing is a primary source of funding for the organization’s daily operations. “The Golf Outing is one of our largest annual fundraisers and helps us offer pay-what-you-can services such as Home Health Aides, Respite, Home Delivered Meals and Transportation to area Seniors aged 60 and over,” Halladay said. He noted the event brings together community members and business leaders to support the commission’s mission.

The organization relies on local partnerships and volunteerism to maintain its programs. Halladay expressed appreciation for the ongoing involvement of the Hersey community. “We wouldn’t be able to function without the support of our community and are looking forward to another great event,” Halladay said. “We’re grateful for our golfers and sponsors and for the support that allows us to continue serving seniors throughout Osceola County.”

Registration for golf teams is currently open. Those interested in providing sponsorships, gift basket donations or items for the silent auction can contact the commission at 231-734-5559. Supporters may also visit the main office at 215 South Division Street in Hersey.
