
GAYLORD — Winter Vinecki, a talented athlete from Gaylord, will represent Team USA in aerial skiing at the Winter Olympics in Italy, marking her second appearance at the Games.
Vinecki made history as the youngest person to complete a marathon on every continent, including Antarctica, at the age of 14.
She began competing at a young age, having been an IronKids national champion during her teenage years. In 2021, she reached her first World Cup podium and qualified for the 2022 Winter Olympics, where she finished in the top 20.
Vinecki continued to impress in her sport, finishing 2024 ranked second in the world. Her consistent performance culminated in a recent victory at the Canadian World Cup, solidifying her spot for the upcoming Olympics.
This competition further highlighted her growth and status in aerial skiing, as she has become a recognized figure in international competitions.
