DETROIT - According to a tweet from NFL insider Adam Schefter, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn has been hired to be head coach of the New York Jets.
Schefter said, “The former Jets 1994 first-round pick, who became a personnel scout for the team, now is becoming their head coach.”
Glenn is the third Lions coach to be lured to another team this offseason, following in the path of Ben Johnson, new Chicago Bears head coach, and Terrell Williams, the new defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots.
