CEDARVILLE – The Eskymos put an end to the Islanders winning streak on Friday night, 85-50. Cedarville-Detour plays Harbor Springs on Monday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.  

CEDARVILLE – The St. Ignace Saints and Mackinaw City Comets both earned sweeps in their district semifinal games on Tuesday night. The Saints swept Pickford and Mackinaw City swept the hosting Cedarville-DeTour Islanders to advance. St. Ignace and Mackinaw City will square off in the district championship game on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Cedarville.

CEDARVILLE – The Boyne City Ramblers got themselves ready for districts by going 2-0 at a non-conference tri-meet in Cedarville on Thursday night. The Ramblers swept Pickford 3-0 and then beat Cedarville-DeTour 2-1. Pickford beat Cedarville-DeTour 2-1 in the final match of the night.

CEDARVILLE – The Cedarville-DeTour Islanders swept Newberry in an Eastern U.P. volleyball match Thursday night. The Islanders won the three sets 25-8, 25-18 and 25-17. It’s the second time this season the Islanders have earned a sweep over Newberry. Cedarville-DeTour’s next match is Tuesday against St. Ignace and Newberry’s is Tuesday against Rudyard.
