The winning dish will be added to LMCU Ballpark’s menu

COMSTOCK PARK — The West Michigan Whitecaps are hosting their annual Fan Food Vote to allow fans to choose a new concession item for the 2026 season at LMCU Ballpark.

Five finalists were selected from a variety of fan submissions by the Whitecaps Deliciousness Committee. The winning dish will be added to the stadium’s menu.

The finalists represent a mix of sweet and savory options that were narrowed down from a larger pool of creative entries. The competition is designed to showcase fan-submitted ideas that range from traditional flavors to unique combinations.

Ben Love, director of marketing for the West Michigan Whitecaps, noted that the submissions for this year’s contest included many unconventional ideas. “Every year our fans bring the creativity to this competition and come up with ideas from way out of left field,” Love said. “This year was certainly no exception.”

One of the five finalists is the Mac Bat. This dish features a waffle cone filled with mac and cheese and pulled pork, topped with a drizzle of barbecue sauce.

The Fried Pickle Quesadilla offers a variation of a traditional quesadilla. It consists of fried pickle chips and melted pepper jack cheese folded into a flour tortilla and is served with a side of ranch dressing.

Another finalist is the Pig Ear, which utilizes a fried elephant ear as its base. The sweet and savory dish is topped with pulled pork, apple filling, slaw, diced onions and barbecue sauce.

The Fat Crash Slammy is a ballpark version of a diner classic. It is served on a long roll and includes fried chicken tenders, fries and cheese curds topped with marinara sauce.

The final option for fans is the Elote Brat. This item features a bratwurst on a pretzel bun topped with Mexican street corn, crema, cotija cheese and crispy tortilla strips.
