MIDLAND — The Great Lakes Loons announced their 2026 promotional schedule Monday, featuring 66 home games at Dow Diamond. The season begins with Opening Day on April 3 and includes 11 fireworks nights, several specialty jersey auctions and a guest appearance by wrestling icon Mick Foley.
The upcoming lineup introduces new daily promotions alongside returning theme nights like Star Wars and Michigander Night. Matt DeVries, the Loons director of marketing, entertainment and storytelling, said the team prioritizes providing a wide range of entertainment for fans of all ages.“We couldn’t be more excited to share everything we have planned for Loons fans for the upcoming baseball season,” DeVries said. “Entertainment is always the number one thing for us on a gameday. How can we continue to make Loons games feel fresh, memorable and give fans experiences that they’ll remember for years to come.”
Opening Day is scheduled for Friday, April 3, presented by MISS DIG 811. The first 1,000 fans to enter the stadium will receive a magnet schedule giveaway. The event also includes a fish fry for attendees observing Good Friday. The schedule includes 11 Fireworks Loontacular Nights presented by Farm Bureau Insurance. Following every Saturday home game beginning May 16, the team will host a pyrotechnic show launched from center field. Wrestle Loonmania is set for Saturday, Aug. 15 and will feature an appearance by WWE Hall of Famer Foley. The event includes a VIP meet-and-greet opportunity with Foley, who is a former wrestling icon. Other guest appearances throughout the summer include Clifford on May 17, Marshall from Paw Patrol on Aug. 2 and the Saginaw Spirit on Aug. 26.The Loons will adopt several alternate identities for special games during the 2026 season. On Aug. 1, the team will play as the Michigan Dogmen for a night that features a family campout and a scout sleepover. The Great Lakes Pontooners identity returns for a weekend series from July 9-12. The team will also play as Los Pepinillos Picantes del Norte for three Copa de la Diversión nights on May 22, June 19 and July 31.
New weekly promotions for the upcoming year include Two-Fer Tuesday and the Saturday Leadoff Hour. Two-Fer Tuesday features two-for-one pricing on ballpark items such as burgers, brats, popcorn and canned cocktails. During the Leadoff Hour on select Saturday nights, fans can enter the ballpark early to watch batting practice and receive 50% off all beer.
Other returning daily promotions include Hometown Heroes on Wednesdays, which provides free meals to active-duty military, veterans, first responders and health care workers. Thirsty Thursday offers half-off beer all night, while Foodie Friday features $2 hot dogs and $1 snacks. Kids Eat Free Sunday allows children ages 12 and under to receive a free hot dog meal and run the bases after the game.
Theme nights throughout the season will focus on various media franchises and local culture. These include Jurassic Ballpark Night on May 23, Princess Night on June 6, Star Wars Night on June 20 and Marvel Night on July 18. Music-themed events include Motown Music Night on May 13 and Country Music Night on July 30. GRIT Night is scheduled for Aug. 13 and Michigander Night will take place on Aug. 29.
The Loons plan to wear 13 different uniforms at home this season. Six of these jerseys will be auctioned to benefit the Michigan Baseball Foundation and other local nonprofits. Giveaway items for the season include a team photo for the first 1,000 fans on May 24 and a Fidelity Investments hat on Aug. 29.
Single-game tickets for all 66 home games will go on sale Monday, March 2. Fans can purchase tickets at Loons.com, by calling the ticket office or by visiting Dow Diamond in person.
