MISSISSIPPI - The NCAA has officially denied former Ferris State quarterback Trinidad Chambliss’ appeal for a sixth year of eligibility, according to ESPN.
Chambliss transferred to Ole Miss this past season after leading Ferris State to a national championship and College Football Playoff run, an addition to the best regular season in school history.
Chambliss’ attorneys have filed for an injunction in state court which is expected to be heard on Feb. 12th. Chambliss is seeking a redshirt year from his sophomore year at Ferris State after not playing in that season.
If the injunction is unsuccessful, Chambliss will head to the NFL draft.
