EAST LANSING- The MHSAA and Farm Bureau Insurance will once again combine to award 32 student-athletes across the state with $2,000 scholarships during the 2025-26 academic year.
The Scholar-Athlete Award is now in its 37th year and awards top student-athletes who balance sports, schoolwork, and other extracurricular activities.
Applications are open to graduating students in the class of 2025-26 who have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and have won a varsity letter in a sport sponsored by the MHSAA.
Six scholarships will be awarded to boys and six to girls from Class A schools, four scholarships to boys and four to girls from Class B schools, three scholarships to boys and three to girls from Class C schools, and two scholarships to boys and two to girls from Class D schools. The final two scholarships will be awarded at-large to minority recipients regardless of school size.

Winners will be announced throughout February and will be honored during the 2026 MHSAA Boys Basketball Finals at the Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing.
