BIG RAPIDS- The Ferris State Bulldogs picked up a 41-34 win over Tiffin University on Saturday at Top Taggert Field. It’s now the program’s 17th straight win, and they start their national championship defense 3-0.
The Bulldogs swept the GLIAC offensive and defensive player of the week honors after their performance.
Quarterback Wyatt Bower picked up the offensive award. He completed 15-23 passing attempts for 232 yards and two touchdowns and added 20 carries for 146 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. He led the Bulldogs to over 500 yards of total offense in the win.
Tyrone Fowler took home the GLIAC defensive player of the week honor. The edge rusher totaled nine tackles, two being for loss, with two sacks and two quarterback hurries.
