ST. IGNACE- The St. Ignace Saints are looking to rebound from a disappointing season in 2024. They went 1-8 to follow up their previous strong 2023 season, in which the Saints went 9-2 and lost in the second round of the playoffs.
Injuries in the preseason last year are what did the Saints in, according to 7th-year head coach Mike Shepard, but this year, Shepard says he has a healthy team going into the first week. The team lost nine seniors from last year’s team, and there are just three seniors on the roster this year, including what Shepard says is a solid junior class that will be ready and competitive come game time.
The Saints travel to Brimley on August 28th to start the new season.
