Detroit Lions to open 2025 training camp in Allen Park with joint practices, fan events

DETROIT — The Detroit Lions will kick off their 2025 Training Camp presented by Rocket on July 26 at the Meijer Performance Center in Allen Park, marking the 19th consecutive year the team has held camp at the facility.

The opening weekend, dubbed Back Together Weekend, will feature a range of fan-friendly activities. This year’s camp includes joint practices with the Miami Dolphins and one with the Houston Texans, offering fans a closer look at the team’s preseason competition.

Free tickets are required to attend open practices, with a limit of four per person. Registration begins July 15 at www.detroitlions.com/trainingcamp. Three practices will be reserved exclusively for Lions Loyal Members, who will receive early access registration details starting July 8 via email.

The 3rd Annual Pet Adoption Day presented by Pet Supplies Plus will return July 29. The event allows fans to adopt dogs from local rescues at cost and includes giveaways and gift cards. Since its debut in 2023, nearly 40 dogs have been adopted through the initiative.

Gates open one hour prior to practice start times. Fans attending camp can enjoy interactive games, ticket and merchandise giveaways, and appearances by team mascot Roary, the Detroit Lions Cheerleaders, and former players. Select days will also feature free face painting, balloon artists and food trucks offering local fare and non-alcoholic beverages.
