Charlevoix baseball to begin 2025 season with new faces following last year's semi-final run

CHARLEVOIX- The Charlevoix baseball team is eager to begin play for the 2025 season after an incredible year last year.

They finished the 2024 season 28-10 overall and advanced all the way to the semi-finals after run ruling both opponents during regionals and would eventually fall by one run to Jackson Lumen Christi.

There’s a lot of new faces on the team this year, and the goal for the Rayders is to improve every day and prepare for playoffs.

“We have some key returning players, but, we probably have 3 or 4 guys who, well, one guy who hasn’t ever played baseball.

We’ve been preaching just all year, since we started first day of practice in the gym, like just getting better every single practice.

Mistakes are going to happen. Pick each other up, lift your head up. Don’t let that one play. Bring us down and just learn from it and just keep growing” (Jason Terryberry, head coach).

“Last year, our good season, you know, going into this year. I mean we want to meet those expectations.

We don’t get anything to live up to; do as well as we can with the team we got now” (Vincent Lemerand, Senior 1B & Pitcher).

The Rayders begin their season Friday on the road against Gladwin.
