CLARE - The Clare baseball team is looking to make a trip to East Lansing in 2025, after falling one game short last season. They return a lot of players, with 7 seniors on the squad, one of them being all state shortstop, Ryan Louch. Head coach David Gould is leading the Pioneers for the 7th season and the team has won 3 straight district championships along with a regional title last year and after getting so close Gould and the squad have their sights set on East Lansing.
“We hadn’t been that far in a while. So, it’s going to take a lot of hard work from the guys, they’re on the same page this year. They want, expectations of the same thing, our goal is Lansing this year. One game away from that last year so we’re going to, you know, work hard so that we can get there,” said Gould.
The Pioneers hope to have their first game next week.
