BIG RAPIDS - The Ferris State Bulldogs football team began spring ball earlier in March and will have 14 practices before their annual spring game. The Bulldogs lost a couple of pieces to D1 programs, including Lawrence Hattar going on to play at Michigan and running back Kannon Katzer still in the portal. Ferris of course brings back some familiar faces with QB’s Trinidad Chambliss and Carson Gulker returning, and head coach Tony Annese back for his 13th season, he’s loving the energy that his team has brought to spring ball.
“It’s a lot of energy. This has been probably the first four best spring practices I’ve had since I’ve been at Ferris It’s just because the mindset so good, we’ve got so many great young men that were, you know, we’re blessed to be with. They just come to work every day and we’re out here just enjoying, enjoying watching them,” said Annese.
The Bulldogs will play their annual spring game on April 25th.
