MARIE - The Lake Superior State Lakers men’s squad enter the NCAA Tournament as the number 2 seed in the Midwest Region and they’ll take on the 7 seed Lincoln University in Springfield, Illinois on Saturday afternoon. The Lakers have been to the dance 6 times under coach Steve Hettinga, even reaching the sweet 16 last year. The 2 teams have never played each other, and the Lakers enter the tournament having won 6 of their last 7 games. With a win LSSU would face a familiar foe, with it either being Michigan Tech or Northern Michigan.
LSSU will tip off against Lincoln at 3:30 on Saturday.
