BIG RAPIDS – Ferris State University will be selling alcoholic beverages at the final two regular-season home football games this month.
The alcohol sales will be offered for the Nov. 9 game against Saginaw Valley State University and the Nov. 16 matchup versus Davenport University. Both games get underway at 1 p.m. at Top Taggart Field.
Sales will be controlled and managed by Ferris State Dining Services and the Athletic Department. Each person purchasing an alcoholic beverage must have a wristband that will be provided at an ID station.
Wristbands will only be issued to people ages 21 and older. All sales will be via credit card and debit only.
Beer and seltzer product sales will begin 30 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. kickoff at each game and will conclude at the start of the fourth quarter. No outside alcohol will be allowed into the field.
With the addition of alcohol sales, Ferris State is also announcing fans leaving the stadium will not be allowed to re-enter until sales end at the start of the fourth quarter.
No alcohol will be served to visibly intoxicated persons or those without the appropriate wristband.
