WALKERVILLE - On Oct. 10, the Big Rapids Crossroads Cougars beat Walkerville 25-0 in the second set of their match.
Junior Dani Nostrant had 16 aces during the set, putting her tied for fourth in MHSAA history for aces in a single set.
The Cougars went on to win the match 3-0, and while Nostrant didn’t even think it was possible to do what she did in any match, she was happy to be a part of history.
“I was definitely shocked because as the points just kept going up on the scoreboard, I was definitely like, this is a big thing. This is something I’ve been working for since I was about 6. I’ve been serving a volleyball before could even start walking. So, it’s definitely something that I’ve worked hard for, and it doesn’t just come easy,” said Nostrant.
Big Rapids Crossroads will look to win their conference title Thursday at Bear Lake.
