Ferris State hockey opens up their season on Friday at home against Miami (OH)

BIG RAPIDS - The Ferris State Bulldogs will open up their 2024-25 champaign at home against Miami (OH) on Friday. This is the 50th season of Ferris State Hockey, and the 47th season of them playing at the division 1 level. Bob Daniels will be the head coach of the Bulldogs in his 33rd season with the team. This year Ferris has 14 new faces on the team including nine freshmen and 5 transfers, with an entirely new goaltending situation, but coach Daniels says that the chemistry has been coming along nicely thus far.

“Our leadership group has done an outstanding job with it. In order for that to work, the guys coming in have to be good to and they are great. I really think that to a person, each one of the ones that have come into the program has fit in really, really well and it has the feeling to me as though we don’t have 14 new guys right now. It just it feels like we’ve got a group that’s been together for a while,” said head coach Bob Daniels.

Both games of the two-game series will start at 8:07 P.M. on Friday and Saturday in Big Rapids.
