As the high school football regular season comes to a close this week, a trio of area football games have been canceled. With positive COVID-19 cases within Manistee High School, the school’s JV and varsity games against McBain have been canceled. The Ramblers are in line to receive a forfeit win if another opponent cannot be found. In addition, the Big Rapids-Fremont game has been canceled because of positive COVID-19 cases within Big Rapids Public Schools. Fremont will receive a forfeit win and improve to 2-4. Baldwin’s game against Central Lake has also been canceled because of eligibility issues within Baldwin’s program. This marks the third straight week that Baldwin has had to cancel a game.
