Michigan DOT hosts virtual webinars for input on long-range transportation plan

The Michigan Department of Transportation is hosting two virtual webinars in late March to gather public input on the state’s long-range transportation plan. The sessions focus on the Michigan Mobility 2050 Plan, which outlines the future of the state’s transportation network.

Known as MM2050, the Michigan Mobility 2050 Plan serves as the State Long-Range Transportation Plan. These upcoming webinars are designed to collect feedback from various stakeholders to help inform the department’s strategy through the year 2050.

The first webinar is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, from 6 to 7 p.m. The second session will take place the following morning on Friday, March 27, from 11 a.m. to noon. Participants may choose either session, as both will cover the same information. The link is here: MM2050 webinar

The department is seeking participation from interested residents and regional agencies. Local governments, transportation organizations and businesses are also invited to provide feedback during the virtual events.

Each session will feature a live webcast presentation regarding the long-range plan. Following the presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to provide comments and ask questions about the state’s transportation goals.
