GAYLORD — The Comfort Inn & Suites and MainStay Suites donated $2,300 to the Otsego County Animal Shelter this year as part of an annual commitment to local animal welfare.

The most recent contribution brings the four-year donation total to $9,800.

“We take great pride in being part of a community that cares,” said Collin Wilson, general manager. “Supporting the Otsego County Animal Shelter each year is just one way we can give back to the place — and the people — that support our community every day.”

The pet-friendly property serves both long and short-term visitors to Gaylord and the surrounding area. MainStay Suites is the only extended stay hotel in the city, and both brands are part of the Choice Hotels family.

“It’s incredibly meaningful to know that our contributions help provide care, comfort, and second chances for animals in need, and we’re honored to play a small role in that mission,” Wilson said.

The lodging property, located at 831 West Main Street, has donated 10% of its collected pet fees annually since opening in late 2021.
