TRAVERSE CITY — Grand Traverse County Emergency Management is telling people to shelter in place.

Life-threatening conditions will persist tonight and into tomorrow with more snow and winds upwards of 40+ miles per hour still gripping the region.
Roads, especially secondary ones, are virtually impassable. There have been road closures with cars and trucks stuck all across the county.
They are strongly discouraging travel, because if you get stranded, responders will take longer to get to you, putting your safety and that of public safety workers.
Grand Traverse 911, sharing on their Facebook page, that the Grandview Parkway between East Front Street and E. Traverse Highway is closed, by order of Michigan State Police.
