The play follows six women who gather for a girls night out to celebrate a bride-to-be during a local paint-and-sip event. As the evening unfolds, the women share thoughts on motherhood and womanhood and their lives become “hilariously and heartbreakingly real.”

Director Stephanie Young said she wanted to bring the story to the stage after reading the script.

“When I first read the script for Paint Night, I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of bringing this story to life,” Young said. “The characters in this show and the stories they tell are real, raw, and relevant. Paint Night takes us down the ever-winding road of the human experience and gives us a peek behind the curtain to see the extraordinary things that ordinary women do every day.”

Young said the production also featured an all-female production crew during Women’s History Month.

“In addition to all women in the show, I took things a step further and put together an all-female production crew as well,” Young said. “March is Women’s History Month, and I can’t think of a better way to honor the contributions of women throughout history than by making some history of our own!”

“Paint Night” is presented through a special arrangement with TRW PLAYS, 1180 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 640, New York, NY 10036. More information is available at www.trwplays.com.

Old Town Playhouse is at 148 East Eighth St. at the southwest corner of East Eighth and Cass streets in Traverse City.

For groups of eight or more, Two-on-the-Town card holders, or those attending with a service dog, the release said to contact the box office directly.
