CLARE — Wood’s Household in Clare is celebrating its 80th anniversary this month, marking eight decades of business since the company was established in 1946. Wood’s Household commemorated the milestone by hosting weekly prize giveaways throughout February.
Brett Moser, President of Wood’s Household, is the third generation of his family to lead the business. The store operates as a full-home retailer, offering furniture, appliances, bedding and flooring to the local community.
The store often serves several generations of the same local families. “We’re now seeing people that have, you know, dealt with my grandpa all the way down to first time in here,” Moser said.
