TRAVERSE CITY — A contractor for the city will conduct overnight sewer lining work on segments of Cedar Street and Bay Street beginning Monday, March 2, with intermittent lane closures expected.
Insituform will line sewers on Cedar Street between Sixth and Seventh streets. Work is anticipated to begin March 2.
Sewer lining on Bay Street between Spruce and Oak streets is anticipated from March 3-6.
The work is expected to generate dust and noise and may disrupt pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle traffic. The city said signage will be in place and access to homes and businesses will be maintained.
Residents and businesses are asked to use alternate routes when possible to reduce congestion, delay and promote worker safety.
