
PETOSKEY — North Central Michigan College announced its 2026 Summer Learning Academy for Kids will run June 22 through Aug. 20 on the college’s Petoskey campus, offering nine weeks of hands-on programs for students entering grades 3-5 and grades 6-8.
The academy will offer morning sessions from 9 a.m. to noon and afternoon sessions from 1 to 4 p.m. Topics include robotics, art, nature, music and babysitting certification. New classes this year include French, Spanish, American Sign Language and animation.
The college said all classes will take place on its Petoskey campus and will provide access to college facilities.
Sessions cost $99 each and include four days of instruction and class supplies. Scholarships are available to eligible students. Class space is limited and some sessions are filling quickly.

For children entering grades 3-5
The academy lineup includes Magic and More, Junior Gardeners Club, Guitar Adventures, Future Stars Acting Class, LEGO Robotics, Move Calm, Feel Strong, Karate for Kids, Kids in the Kitchen, Nature Exploration Through Art, Theatre for Everyone, Exploring the World of Textiles, Active Adventures, Folk Dances, Spanish, Jr. Sleuth’s Crime Lab, Introduction to Animation and a four-week French series.
For children entering grades 6-8
