MACKINAC BRIDGE— The Mackinac Bridge has reopened in both directions after falling ice created hazardous conditions for drivers.
The Michigan Department of Transportation said northbound and southbound I-75 are now open.
It was initially closed due to large chunks of ice falling from the towers and cables during changing temperatures, putting vehicles and travelers at risk.
