CHARLEVOIX COUNTY - Boyne City native and professional skier Kaila Kuhn is serving as an ambassador for the Boyne Forever Foundation. The organization is the nonprofit arm of Boyne Resorts and focuses on community and environmental initiatives.
The foundation’s mission centers on strengthening local communities, protecting the environment and providing support for resort team members. According to resort leaders, Kuhn is using her platform to provide visibility to these charitable efforts as the foundation expands its work.
Michelle Wein serves as the executive director of the Boyne Forever Foundation. She noted that the organization is currently expanding its operations and outreach.
“Kayla is an ambassador for the Boyne Forever Foundation, which is the nonprofit arm of Boyne Resorts. And our mission is to strengthen communities, protect the environment and support team members across green resorts,” Wein said. “And so by being an ambassador, she’s really involved in that mission as we sort of ramp up the foundation.”
Kuhn’s involvement is intended to bring new energy and visibility to the foundation’s work. Resort leaders stated that her role has helped encourage other residents in Northern Michigan to get involved with the nonprofit’s efforts.
The organization plans to support a variety of local initiatives through its upcoming funding programs. These projects will focus on environmental conservation, community development and resources for employees.
The foundation is scheduled to launch its first grant cycle in May 2026.
