PRESQUE ISLE COUNTY — Michigan State Police detectives have charged a Rogers City man with additional counts of criminal sexual conduct after a second person reported being victimized.
According to a Feb. 6 news release update from the Michigan State Police Alpena Post, the post was contacted in January 2025 regarding a sexual assault complaint. The alleged assaults were reported to have occurred in Rogers City over a span of several months.
Detectives identified the suspect as 65-year-old Theodore Beck of Rogers City and submitted the investigation to the Presque Isle County Prosecutor’s Office for review, police said.
Beck was arraigned May 19, 2025, in the 89th District Court in Presque Isle County on four counts of criminal sexual conduct, fourth degree, involving force or coercion, police said.
Since that arraignment, an additional person reported being victimized by Beck, police said. Detectives submitted supplemental findings to the prosecutor’s office, which charged Beck with three additional counts of criminal sexual conduct, fourth degree, involving force or coercion, according to the release.
Police said Beck was arraigned Feb. 3. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m.
