GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY— Project Feed the Kids in Traverse City just received $10,000 that they will be putting to good use.
The donation comes from 100 Women Who Care.
Tiffany McQueer, who founded Project Feed the Kids, is also a member of 100 Women Who Care.
She says that members each will donate $100 when they arrive for the meeting.
While there, organizations pulled out of a hat will have 5 minutes to do a speech, and then people vote on who will receive the donation.
Tiffany said that the donation means that they can now purchase another cooler and then food to fill the cooler.
She added that means they have the potential to feed 30,000 more kids in a certain area.
Since they started 6 years ago, Project Feed the Kids has given out over 630,000 meals
