GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY — For over 20 years, Child & Family Services of Northwestern Michigan has presented gifts to children and families through the Paper Angels program.
The Paper Angels Program is a wish list program that the organization does to make sure that their clients and their families get something for Christmas.
This year, the program received over 500 lists, and were able to fill them out thanks to the community.
From practical gifts like gift cards, to labubu dolls, Development Specialist Katelynn Martin says she is thankful they were able to provide gifts to children for Christmas.
Katelynn said that this year, donors were more willing to take on multiple lists, up to even six.
She added “I will say one thing that we always try and encourage, which you can do now, you can do year round, is to donate specifically to the Angel fund. ”
Katelynn said that through the Angel Fund, caseworkers can provide gift to to a child that may come into care as soon as tomorrow, or provide anything else a family may need.
