MIDLAND — The Midland Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run.
Police said the crash happened Friday evening on Jefferson Avenue near Rodd Street around 5:41 p.m.
A 78-year-old Midland man was struck by a vehicle.

Investigators said the driver fled the scene, and the vehicle involved has not yet been identified.
The victim was pronounced dead, and police are actively searching for the driver responsible.
