THOMPSONVILLE — Crystal Mountain opened its slopes December 5th, marking the start of the skiing and snowboarding season.
The resort has prepared for the season by making snow for over 65 hours, which complements the natural foot of snow that fell the week before. Crystal Mountain will feature three open lifts and at least seven open runs for visitors to enjoy.
“You notice a lot of people have smiles on their face. This is just an uplifting day, not only for our staff, but all our guests to come out here and enjoy skiing,” said John Melcher, CEO of Crystal Mountain. “It’s a great family activity. There’s trails that can accommodate people of all different skills.”
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Crystal Mountain offers a variety of winter activities including ice skating, snowshoeing, and fat tire biking. These activities provide options for visitors of all interests and skill levels. The resort emphasizes its family-friendly environment, where guests can enjoy a day on the slopes and then share their experiences over dinner. This approach aims to create lasting memories for families visiting the resort.
With the opening of Crystal Mountain, Michigan residents and visitors can look forward to a season filled with outdoor winter activities and family fun.
