TRAVERSE CITY — The 18th annual Up North Media Traverse City Turkey Trot is set to take place on Thursday, Nov. 27 in Traverse City, offering participants a festive start to Thanksgiving morning.
Presented by 4Front Credit Union, the event will begin and end at St. Francis High School Gymnasium, featuring a 5K Walk/Run and a 5 Mile Flier. Organizers encourage participants to register online in advance to ensure a smooth race day experience.
Participants are invited to dress in their turkey best, adding to the festive atmosphere of the event. The Turkey Trot welcomes individuals of all ages to join the fun.
Race packets can be picked up from 4–7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at St. Francis High School.
There will be limited pick-up available on race morning from 7–8:30 a.m. Late registration is available through race morning, though online registration is preferred due to limited onsite computer availability.
The event supports the Father Fred Foundation, which will collect canned goods at both Packet Pick Up and on race morning. Donors will be entered into a drawing for a chance to start the race alongside Butterball.
Proceeds from the Turkey Trot will benefit the Festival Foundation and TART Trails, supporting local traditions and maintaining active spaces in the Grand Traverse region.
