Boardman Township Fire Department welcomes Randy Tinker as new fire chief

BOARDMAN TOWNSHIP — The Boardman Township Fire Department has named Randy Tinker as its new fire chief.

Per an Oct. 20 department news release, Tinker brings more than 30 years of fire service experience to the role.

He most recently served as captain with the Fife Lake Springfield Fire Department, where his leadership and dedication earned recognition from colleagues and the community.

A longtime South Boardman resident, Tinker is known for his commitment to public safety and community growth. He and his wife, Krystal, are raising their five children in the area.

Department officials said they are confident Tinker’s experience and hands-on approach will strengthen training efforts and enhance service to residents.

The township invited community members to welcome Chief Tinker as he begins his new role leading the department.
