Drozd sees students across the district at different grade levels.

“My main traditional role of the school psychologist is to do special education evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services, and then how we can best meet those students’ needs in the classroom,” she said. “When we get to see growth and success and that confidence boost in that kid, it’s like it - it changes their lives, which in turn changes ours.”

Becca from Hopkins Public Schools receives a $2,000 check from Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. Excellence in Education awards sponsored by the Michigan Lottery, providing more than $29 billion to public education since 1972.
