Fitzhugh Drive to see intermittent lane closures for asphalt repairs

TRAVERSE CITY — Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians should expect intermittent closures of the eastbound and westbound lanes of Fitzhugh Drive at the Bay Hill intersection for asphalt repairs, the Traverse City Streets Division said.

Work began at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 8 and is expected to be completed by the end of the day Oct. 10 in Traverse City. The city said the repairs may disrupt pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle traffic.

Signs will be posted, and access to all homes and businesses will be maintained. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to reduce congestion, delay and promote worker safety.

Questions about the work or schedule can be directed to Jeffrey Komisarz at (231) 922-4900.
