CADILLAC — The City Council is expected to consider a resolution to vacate Wall Street while reserving a public utility easement at their meeting Monday evening
The Cadillac Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend vacating the area for the Lakelynn Apartments development at its September 29 meeting.
This project will include seven, three-story buildings with a total of 252 units, on land owned by KMF Construction. A public hearing is scheduled for November 17.
Also Monday night, the City of Cadillac is being asked to adopt a resolution to hold a public meeting on October 20 about the reconstruction project on Chapin Street. The aim is to install new sidewalks, improve on-street parking, update water and sewer lines, and enhance street lighting.
The city says the project will adhere to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
People with disabilities can request auxiliary aids or services at least three business days before any public meeting.
The next Cadillac City Council meeting is Monday, October 6, 2025 at 6 p.m. in the Cadillac City Hall.
