The ruling made clear Gille can’t assist in his defense due to his mental state.

Per the ruling, Gille will remain at a forensic center for treatment to try to regain his competency to eventually stand trial.

Currently, there is no timeline for Gille’s potential trial; it will likely depend on his treatment.

It was determined that Gille feels the forensic center he’s staying at is a Nazi concentration camp.

He reportedly believes psychiatric providers are threatening or will harm him. He didn’t want an incompetency plea because that means he has to stay at the center, which he thinks is a death camp.

The judge ruled that Gille has to stay there to rehabilitate/regain competency to stand trial. No timeline on when that is.

Gille has paranoid beliefs, the doctor who testified said Gille has a working diagnosis of schizophrenia.
