TRAVERSE CITY — The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Division of Victim Services is offering financial assistance to those affected by the July 26 tragedy at the Traverse City Walmart.
Through the state’s Crime Victim Compensation program, eligible individuals may receive help covering counseling, lost wages, transportation and other related expenses.
The program is open not only to those who were physically injured, but also to witnesses, people who were in close proximity to the incident and first responders who were on scene.
