CADILLAC — The city council voted unanimously, 4-0, to approve the parade request from Cadillac Area Public Schools for the annual Homecoming parade.
The parade is set for 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, using the Lake Street parade route, which goes from East Harris Street to South Mitchell Street to East Pine Street along Chestnut Street to Linden Street, ending at the Cadillac Schools Central Office parking lot.
Parade line-up starts at 4 p.m. along North Lake Street from the Cadillac Wexford Public Library to East Harris Street.
This year’s parade is a celebration of the 50-year anniversary of the rock band KISS playing at Cadillac High School in 1975. The parade route takes it past the KISS monument and along South Mitchell Street, where banners mark the event.
