CADILLAC — The City Council is expected to hear public comment and vote Monday on a Brownfield Redevelopment Plan for a property at the end of Mosser Street. It’s called the Lakelynn Apartments Brownfield Plan.

The city is being asked to approve the redevelopment of six parcels of property for residential use. The plan would include 252 workforce housing units with so-called “target rents” for qualified households of 120% of the area’s median income or less.

The Brownfield Plan would reimburse the gap between development and rent revenue for units for qualified households with income of 120% of the Area Median Income of less.

The Cadillac Brownfield Redevelopment Authority approved the plan at their June 30 meeting.

The City Council will now be asked to adopt the plan.

The Cadillac City Council meeting is Monday, August 4 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cadillac Municipal Complex, 200 N. Lake Street.
