SAULT STE. MARIE — We’re just two weeks away from a nearly 400-mile motorcycle ride to help those who have served our country.
The 2nd annual American Legion Riders - Hell to Paradise PTSD and Awareness Ride takes place July 25th and -26th.
Over 300 bikers are expected. They’ll leave the small community of Hell and meet in Gaylord that Friday afternoon.
Then they’ll leave for Paradise early Saturday morning, and make their way to the Soo by late afternoon.
A parade will take them through downtown.
The main focus of the event is to raise awareness for those veterans who are suffering and to let them know they are not alone in the fight.
The event organizer Scott Igo encourages the public to come out and see what they do and why it is important.
Last year, $30,000 was raised
Proceeds from this year’s event will be split between Mission 22 Service Dogs and Kamp George for Wounded Heroes.
