Various local groups were offering things like car seat checks and bike checks and offering lots of safety related information.

They were also giving out lots of free safety goodies, like first aid kits, fire extinguishers, bike helmets, life jackets, and other safety related items people might not have access to.

“Everybody really likes the event. We also raffle off some free bikes. So that’s a big draw. but they like interacting with all the different agencies. They like being able to get up close with the fire trucks and the EMS and different things like that. And it’s a lot of fun,” said Jones.

There were also other fun activities and prizes for the kiddos to enjoy. Organizers say they’ve been holding this event for the past ten years and it brings out hundreds of people.
