TRAVERSE CITY — Artwork has been chosen for this year’s National Cherry Festival commemorative print.
This work, called “crimson bounty” was made by Delaney Lemarbe from Flushing, Michigan.
It shows a black bear snacking on some cherries.

Every year, the festival foundation enlists student artists to compete and this year there were over 85 entries.
The commemorative print program awards winners with scholarships and prizes.
And it wasn’t just first place. Second and third place also got awards, plus the winner of ‘best in theme’ got one too.
The top five winners also got gift cards for art supplies.
