CADILLAC — State Senator Michele Hoitenga from Manton at the Governors Breakfast today gave a small update on the investigation into P-FAS contamination in the city of Cadillac.
The state has been doing testing to get a better idea of how many homes in the area may be impacted and who needs to make changes to their water supply.
Senator Hoitenga says its clear P-FAS is an issue not just in Cadillac but in communities state wide.
She adds “Throughout my whole district, there is a PFAS issue. Contamination from the military bases to airports and businesses. So, I’m staying very in touch with the people over their concerns. And in fact, I think we’re doing, a panel on it in a couple of weeks. So I look forward to talking to the people about their concerns. ”
The state says its taking the P-FAS issue very seriously, and is testing statewide.
