VIRGINIA — Rob Holland, a world-renowned air show performer, passed away in an accident at Langley AFB in Virginia.

According to an April 24 Facebook post from the National Cherry Festival, Holland was set to perform at the National Cherry Festival Air Show. His legacy remains impactful both in aviation and among those he inspired.
The National Cherry Festival offered condolences to his family, friends, and fellow aviators.
“Our hearts are heavy with grief as we mourn the loss of a remarkable talent and a cherished member of the air show community,” the post read. “Rob was not only a world-renowned aviator, but also a passionate and inspiring presence. His breathtaking performances and unwavering dedication to his craft left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of witnessing his talent.
On behalf of the National Cherry Festival, we extend our deepest condolences to Rob’s family, friends, and fellow aviators. Our thoughts are with them during this incredibly difficult time. Rob’s legacy will continue to soar — both in the skies and in the hearts of those he inspired."
