Celebrate Easter with 15,000 eggs at Manton’s Railroad Park

MANTON — A whopping 15,000 Easter eggs will make their way to Manton’s Railroad Park to celebrate Easter tomorrow.

The annual hunt is open to kids twelve years old and younger.

The park will transform into an Easter extravaganza that will feature none other than the Easter Bunny.

The event starts at noon and will run until 2 p.m. with games and prizes for kids to win.

Easter egg hunt organizer Sherry Cisco said the community’s support for the event led to an additional two thousand eggs and more prizes for participants.

To pull the event off, a number of volunteers were recruited, in addition to the Hope Network in Cadillac, who stuffed the eggs with candy.

“We have partnered with the Manton Chamber, and they have gotten a lot for us from the surrounding businesses, and some individuals who have also donated monetarily,” Cisco said. “Some of them did the prizes, some of them gave us money and we went and purchased items. It’s just everybody in the Manton community that has really stepped up to the plate and helped us be a success.”
