Pine River Online School expands to serve grades 8-12

LEROY — Pine River Area Schools has announced the expansion of Pine River Online School (PROS), now offering a virtual education program for students in grades 8-12 across the surrounding communities.

According to an April 16 news release, Pine River Online School offers an innovative and dynamic learning experience, combining the convenience of an asynchronous curriculum with structured, real-time engagement opportunities. Students benefit from round-the-clock access to coursework, allowing them to complete weekly modules at their own pace while maintaining the support of dedicated educators. The program features multiple levels of academic rigor to challenge and accommodate all learners.

Pine River believes that online learning should be more than just screen time — it should be a connected, supported and enriching experience.

“We are proud to expand Pine River Online School to open the doors to more students,” Pine River Area Schools High School Principal Chelsea Hicok said. “We’ve built a program that offers flexibility without sacrificing engagement, making sure each student receives the support they need to succeed.”

  • One-on-one progress meetings to provide personalized guidance and encouragement
