EVART — Deputies from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal accident in Evart involving a passenger vehicle and a mini bike.
According to an April 8 news release, during the initial incident at approximately 6:37 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, deputies from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a personal injury accident near the intersection of North Oak Street and West Sixth Street in the City of Evart.
Upon arrival, deputies determined that a passenger vehicle had struck an individual operating a mini bike. The operator of the mini bike sustained life-threatening injuries.
Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police, Evart Police Department, Evart Fire Department and Rescue, Osceola County EMS, Meceola Central Dispatch, and Reed City Towing.
The accident remains under investigation, and details are currently limited. 9&10 News will provide updates as they are received.
